Day of the Indigenous on April 19\u00a0has been a national holiday in Costa Rica for over 40 years. But despite this area’s huge native population,\u00a0it has hardly been celebrated or observed in the Talamanca region… until now!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The BriBri Community Came together in celebration of their traditional games, stories, dance and practices. We finished the day with a meaningful cacao ceremony, led by tribal leader Timoteo Jackson and his family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
