In\u00a0The Bribri and The Bridge<\/i>, Nanci describes how she fell in love with Costa Rica and moved there for good, using all of her and Barry\u2019s money in eighteen months to help those in need, yet somehow keeping El Puente\u2019s lights on and the love flowing long after. El Puente\u2019s work has hosted several hundred volunteers and served tens of thousands of meals, and provides school supplies to more than 300 students each year. All of this hard, humble work even earned the praise of the Vice President of Costa Rica, whose visit to El Puente is included in this extraordinary memoir.\u00a0<\/p>

According to current\u00a0El Puente Executive Director Kent Gledhill, \u201cNanci lives life expecting to encounter beautiful stories. When that is your expectation, this is the result.
